Our Services

We know that SWDs and ENL students are the students with the highest need but it never seems like there is enough support for the teachers who are charged with making sure they succeed. We had previously contracted different firms to support our teachers and reached out for support from the district to no avail. When ‘Hello Inclusion’ came into our building, they made  the idea of inclusion accessible to our teachers. Their PDs imbed the strategies that they want teachers to practice and they provide materials for teachers to adapt their lessons. Their one to one feedback sessions with teachers are not only informational, they are empowering as well.  Hello Inclusion will be a staple in my school community ongoing. 

Professor Mishka Anderson is by far one of the most influential professors I have had the honor of encountering throughout my journey of becoming an early childhood educator. Her teaching goes beyond the classroom. She has shown how knowledgeable, dedicated and passionate she is on how to educate all children in every lesson and pushes you to really understand the responsibility of becoming an educator. Her determination to make big and positive contributions to the black and brown community educational system has resonated with me throughout my journey of early education and continues to motivate me to give children the best learning experience possible. I am very honored to have met her, thank you.

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the incredible coaching and mentorship I received from Mrs. Marcia Hendricks during my first year as a biology teacher.  Working with Mrs. Hendricks has been a transformative experience. Her guidance, wisdom, and support have had a profound impact on my teaching practices. Through her feedback, I’ve grown not only as an educator but also in my ability to connect with and inspire my students. Her approach to teaching, as well as her dedication to nurturing my development, has been invaluable. It has truly been a pleasure working with her.

Thanks to Mrs. Hendricks' guidance, I’ve experienced tremendous growth this year. I went from feeling uncertain and overwhelmed as a first-year teacher to becoming one of the strongest educators on staff. Her support, feedback, and mentorship have been instrumental in shaping my teaching practices, and I feel confident in my ability to impact students positively moving forward. I truly owe my success to her dedication and belief in my potential. It’s been an absolute privilege to learn from her, and I know that her influence will continue to shape my teaching for years to come.

Since engaging in the Hello Inclusion professional development sessions and coaching with Dr. Walker, my instructional practices have shifted in meaningful and lasting ways. One of the most impactful changes has been the implementation of station teaching in both reading and math. With Dr. Walker’s guidance, I’ve embraced this model not only to differentiate instruction more effectively, but also to ensure that all students receive targeted, small-group support that meets their individual needs. Another significant shift has been the way I now include paraprofessionals more intentionally in daily instruction. Dr. Walker emphasized the importance of collaboration, and as a result, I’ve worked to make sure paras are active partners in student learning—leading groups, supporting assessments, and reinforcing instructional goals. Their engagement has strengthened our classroom community and increased student success. Dr. Walker’s coaching has helped me move from awareness to action. She brings a powerful blend of vision and practicality that helped me turn inclusive values into everyday classroom practices. My classroom now feels more equitable, more collaborative, and more responsive to the diverse learners I serve—because of her.

Since participating in the Hello Inclusion PDs and coaching, I’ve noticed a few meaningful shifts in my practice. One of the biggest changes is in how I approach lesson planning and student engagement. I’ve become more intentional about incorporating diverse perspectives and designing activities that are accessible to all learners. I've also started using more inclusive language and questioning strategies that invite every student to participate, not just the ones who are typically more vocal. The coaching sessions helped me become more aware of my own biases and how they can show up in subtle ways, especially in classroom management and group work structures. Overall, I feel more confident creating a space where all students feel seen, heard, and valued—particularly those who may have previously felt on the margins. The shift is ongoing, but I’m more reflective and proactive about fostering equity and belonging every day.
